Elm Creek Buffaloes (Elm Creek, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bertrand Vikings (Bertrand, NE), 42-26 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Elm Creek upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Buffaloes host Minden (Minden, NE) to play the Whippets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Whippets go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Minden won 42-17 in their recent non-league bout against Central City (Central City, NE)
Next up, the Vikings play the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons (Wilcox, NE) in a D2 District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Bertrand will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
