Berwick Panthers (Berwick, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Franklin Hornets (Franklin, LA), 41-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Berwick upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Catholic of Pointe Coupee lost 35-33 in their recent non-league bout against St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Teurlings Catholic Rebels (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 39-27 non-league loss to E.D. White (Thibodaux, LA).
