The Bishop Walsh Spartans basketball team (Cumberland, MD), was toppled 48-35 in Friday's non-league battle with the host GVCS Broadfording Lions (Hagerstown, MD)
The Lions now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martinsburg for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 21. GVCS Broadfording will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 47-33 non-league loss to Southern (Oakland, MD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against St. James (Hagerstown, MD). The Saints come into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, St. James beat Calvary Christian Academy (Cresaptown, MD), 56-20, in a non-league battle.
