Virginia High School Basketball - Cave Spring knocked off by Salem

The Salem Spartans basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Cave Spring Knights to 37 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blacksburg for a River Ridge contest on Tuesday, December 19.

The Knights (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Fleming was defeated by Connelly School of the Holy Child (Potomac, MD), 54-49, in a non-league contest.
