The De Kalb Bears (De Kalb, TX) basketball felled the host New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX), 51-43 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Pewitt (Omaha, TX). The Brahmas go into the 3A Region II District 14 test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Pewitt thwarted Redwater (Redwater, TX), 36-33, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Clarksville for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. New Boston will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 57-39 non-league loss to Atlanta (Atlanta, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-8.
