The Durant Lions basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Edison Eagles to 22 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holland Hall for a 5A District 4 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Durant will battle a Dutch team coming off a 53-50 non-league loss to Victory Christian (Tulsa, OK). The Dutch record now stands at 3-4.
The Eagles (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Coweta (Coweta, OK). The Tigers enter the 5A District 4 contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Coweta was routed by Sapulpa (Sapulpa, OK), 52-36, in a league contest.
