North Carolina High School Basketball - Pender ripped by East Columbus

December 15, 2023: Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450

In Friday's league match, the host East Columbus Gators basketball team scored a decisive 48-23 triumph over the Pender Patriots.

In their next game, the Gators meet the East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC) in a 1A/2A Waccamaw match, on Wednesday, January 3. East Columbus will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record.

With the defeat, Pender moves to 1-3 on the year. The Patriots travel to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC) to meet the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 19. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 4-2. Pine Forest won 28-5 in their recent league match against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)
