The East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC) basketball nipped the host Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC), 51-49 in Friday's league test.
The Golden Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Providence Grove got by Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC), 59-53, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to South Davidson for a 1A/2A Central Carolina test on Tuesday, December 19. Lexington will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 65-23 league loss to North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-7.
