Lake Belton Broncos (Temple, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ellison Eagles (Killeen, TX), 49-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Lake Belton upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Broncos travel to A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-9. A&M Consolidated lost 53-48 in their recent league bout against Magnolia (Magnolia, TX)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Ellison will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 56-23 league loss to Shoemaker (Killeen, TX).
