Leesville Wampus Cats (Leesville, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Evans Eagles (Evans, LA), 38-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Leesville upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Wampus Cats host Tioga (Tioga, LA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Tioga won 56-32 in their recent non-league bout against Jena (Jena, LA)

Next up, the Eagles play the DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Evans will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record.
