Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Fairfield Trojans (Fairfield, IA), 67-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Keokuk upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA) to clash with the Panthers in a Southeast bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Mt. Pleasant lost 71-20 in their recent non-league bout against Benton (Van Horne, IA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Fairfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Grayhounds go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 60-27 non-league loss to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL).
