In Friday's league match, the visiting Gilmer Buckeyes basketball team scored a good 47-38 triumph over the Henderson Lions.
In their next game, the Buckeyes meet the Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 match, on Tuesday, December 19. Gilmer will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 3-9 record after their 42-39 league loss to Spring Hill (Longview, TX).
With the defeat, Henderson moves to 13-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Mesquite (Mesquite, TX) to play the Skeeters in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Skeeters come into the challenge with a record of 20-2.
