Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA), 41-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Hornets host Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA) to play the Rockets in a District 10 Region 4 bout on Monday, December 18. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Slippery Rock lost 39-27 in their recent non-league bout against Conneaut Area (Linesville, PA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 bout, on Monday, January 8. Sharon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
