Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME), 44-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Mount Desert Island upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME) to clash with the Eagles in a B North bout on Monday, December 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Ellsworth won 76-18 in their recent league game against Hermon (Hermon, ME)

With the defeat, John Bapst Memorial moves to 0-3 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME) to face the Wildcats in a B North game on Tuesday, December 19. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 2-1. Presque Isle won 42-40 in their recent league game against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)
