Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX), 51-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Panthers host Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX) to clash with the Hawks in a 4A Region III District 20 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Hardin-Jefferson won 97-10 in their recent league bout against West Fork (Kingwood, TX)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Splendora Wildcats (Splendora, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Livingston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 50-39 league loss to Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX).
