Texas High School Basketball - Wakeland routs Newman Smith

In Friday's league outing, the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), by a margin of 56-35.

The Wolverines (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against Lone Star (Frisco, TX). The Rangers go into the 5A Region II District 9 outing with a 6-11 record. In their last outing, Lone Star smashed Frisco (Frisco, TX), 57-40, in a league outing.

The Trojans now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Reedy for a 5A Region II District 9 outing on Tuesday, December 19. Newman Smith will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 33-31 league loss to The Colony (The Colony, TX). The Lions record now stands at 11-6.
