The Slidell Greyhounds basketball team (Slidell, TX), was nudged 49-46 in Friday's league battle with the host Saint Jo Panthers (Saint Jo, TX)
The Panthers now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midway for a 1A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, December 19. Saint Jo will battle a Falcons team coming off a 35-23 non-league loss to Electra (Electra, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 1-5.
The Greyhounds (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Forestburg (Forestburg, TX). The Longhorns come into the 1A Region III District 22 battle with a 11-5 record. In their last battle, Forestburg edged Bellevue (Bellevue, TX), 63-57, in a league battle.
