Watford City Wolves (Watford City, ND) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Turtle Mountain Braves (Belcourt, ND), 59-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Watford City upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Wolves travel to Stanley (Stanley, ND) to play the Blue Jays in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Blue Jays come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Stanley won 57-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Standing Rock (Fort Yates, ND)

Next up, the Braves play the Northern Cass Jaguars (Hunter, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Turtle Mountain will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record.
