The Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL), 23-6 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Berwyn/Cicero Morton went down by Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL), 45-17, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Providence Catholic for a non-league test on Monday, January 22.
