North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 55-12 in a league bout.

With the win, North Surry upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Greyhounds host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to clash with the Sauras in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Sauras go into the bout with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Wilkes Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 34-7 non-league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
