Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors confront the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Pontotoc will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record.
The Red Raiders now have a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Houston for a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. Shannon will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 3-5.
