The Alexander Central Cougars basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting South Iredell Vikings to 36 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Davie for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Alexander Central will battle a War Eagles team coming off a 55-51 non-league loss to East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The War Eagles record now stands at 7-1.

The Vikings (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines enter the contest with a 1-3 record.
