Virginia High School Basketball - Prince Edward County topples Amelia County

In Friday's non-league outing, the Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA) basketball squad beat the host Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA), by a margin of 59-45.

The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA). The Statesmen go into the non-league outing with a 2-1 record.

The Raiders now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cumberland for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Amelia County will clash with a Dukes squad coming off a 54-29 non-league loss to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Dukes record now stands at 1-3.
