Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA), 58-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blacksburg upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Bruins travel to Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Giles lost 38-29 in their recent non-league bout against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Hidden Valley Titans (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Pulaski County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 41-27 non-league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA).
