Oroville Hornets (Oroville, WA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Curlew Cougars (Curlew, WA), 19-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oroville upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Hornets travel to Republic (Republic, WA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Republic lost 35-22 in their recent non-league bout against Columbia (Hunters, WA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Selkirk Rangers (Ione, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Curlew will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to Cusick (Cusick, WA).
