Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) and the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), saw Northeastern's basketball squad knock off First Flight by a tally of 55-44.

With the victory, Northeastern improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC) to play the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 20. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Ocracoke Dolphins (Ocracoke, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. First Flight will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 70-40 non-league loss to Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
