Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL), 46-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Wilmington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Iroquois West (Gilman, IL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Iroquois West won 31-28 in their recent league bout against Watseka (Watseka, IL)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Streator Bulldogs (Streator, IL) in a bout, on Friday, January 5. Lisle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record.
