The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Buford Yellow Jackets (Lancaster, SC), witnessed Parkwood's basketball squad hold off Buford by a count of 69-64.
With the victory, Parkwood advances its record to 5-4 on the year. The Wolf Pack host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to meet the Colts in a Rocky River 4A/5A match on Friday, December 19. The Colts enter the match with a record of 4-3. West Stanly won 58-56 in their recent league contest against Central Academy of Technology & Arts (Monroe, NC)
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets battle the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) in a AA Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, December 16. Buford will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Golden Rams come into the contest with a 1-9 record after their 54-39 non-league win over McBee (McBee, SC).
