The Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Deer Antlers to 47 in the Thunderbirds non-league win on Monday.

Next, the Thunderbirds clash with the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) in a 1A Region 5 outing, on Thursday, December 18. Guy-Perkins will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the outing with a 0-9 record after their 81-50 league loss to Nemo Vista (Center Ridge, AR).

The Antlers (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Kingston (Kingston, AR). The Yellowjackets go into the 1A Region 1 bout with a 1-16 record. In their last bout, Kingston was edged by Huntsville (Huntsville, AR), 68-38, in a non-league bout.
