Virginia High School Basketball - Grafton nips Poquoson

December 15, 2025: Yorktown, VA 23692

The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) and the visiting Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), saw Grafton's basketball team tip Poquoson by a margin of 54-51.

The Clippers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams go into the Bay Rivers contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Lafayette was tipped by Indian River (Chesapeake, VA), 64-59, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Islanders battle the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) in a Bay Rivers contest, on Tuesday, December 16. Poquoson will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 72-37 league loss to Bruton (Williamsburg, VA).
