West Virginia High School Basketball - Steubenville overwhelms Weir

December 15, 2025: Weirton, WV 26062

The Steubenville Big Red basketball team scored 76 points and limited the host Weir Red Riders to 16 in the Big Red league triumph on Monday.

The Big Red now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they host John Marshall for a Two Rivers game on Wednesday, December 17. Steubenville will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 56-41 non-league win over East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Weir falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Red riders travel to Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV) to clash with the Golden Bears in a Ohio Valley outing on Monday, December 22. The Golden Bears come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Oak Glen won 55-22 in their recent non-league outing against East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH)
