The Deep Creek Hornets basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Nansemond River Warriors to 40 in the Hornets league triumph on Thursday.
The Hornets now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host First Colonial for a non-league contest on Monday, December 20. Deep Creek will battle a Patriots team coming off a 89-33 league win over Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-1.
The Warriors (0-6) will now prepare for their match against Warwick (Newport News, VA). The Raiders enter the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Warwick knocked off Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA), 57-35, in a league match.
