The Appleton East Patriots basketball team (Appleton, WI), was nudged 68-61 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Fond du Lac Cardinals (Fond du Lac, WI)
The Cardinals now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oshkosh North for a Fox Valley battle on Tuesday, December 20. Fond du Lac will battle a Spartans team coming off a 66-62 league loss to Kimberly (Kimberly, WI). The Spartans record now stands at 5-2.
The Patriots (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bay Port (Green Bay, WI). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Bay Port edged Ashwaubenon (Green Bay, WI), 88-83, in a league battle.
