Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Austin Maroons (Austin, TX), 46-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Johnson upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Jaguars host Bowie (Austin, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Bowie won 67-45 in their recent league bout against Akins (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Maroons play the Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout, on Saturday, December 17. Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Chaparrals go into the bout with a 15-2 record after their 51-38 league win over Anderson (Austin, TX).
