Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Central Crossing Comets (Grove City, OH), 67-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Newark upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Olentangy Liberty (Powell, OH) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Olentangy Liberty won 61-42 in their recent league bout against Hilliard Bradley (Hilliard, OH)

Next up, the Comets clash with the Teays Valley Vikings (Ashville, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Central Crossing will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 75-40 league win over Hamilton Township (Columbus, OH).
