Colon Magi (Colon, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers (Battle Creek, MI), 56-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Colon upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Magi host Climax-Scotts (Climax, MI) to play the Panthers in a Southern Central bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Fighting Tigers play the Union City Chargers (Union City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. St. Philip Catholic Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
