Crestview Cougars (Ashland, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Monroeville Eagles (Monroeville, OH), 52-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crestview upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Colonel Crawford (North Robinson, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-1. Colonel Crawford won 69-58 in their recent league bout against Seneca East (Attica, OH)

Next up, the Eagles play the Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH) in a Firelands bout, on Saturday, December 17. Monroeville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Big Red come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 52-40 league win over New London (New London, OH).
