South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host East Dubuque Warriors (East Dubuque, IL), 47-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Beloit upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Sobos travel to North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 5-5.

Next up, the Warriors play the El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. East Dubuque will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 63-59 non-league loss to Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL).
