East Juniata Tigers (McAlisterville, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), 39-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Juniata upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy (Boalsburg, PA) to play the WolfPack in a Tri-Valley bout on Tuesday, December 20. The WolfPack come into the bout with a record of 4-1. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy won 68-51 in their recent league bout against Juniata (Mifflintown, PA)

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Millersburg Indians (Millersburg, PA) in a Tri-Valley bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 70-50 league loss to Halifax (Halifax, PA).
