Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Garden Spot can't hold off Ephrata

The Ephrata Mountaineers basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Garden Spot Spartans to 41 in the Mountaineers non-league victory on Friday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hamburg for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Ephrata will battle a Hawks team coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to Eastern Lebanon County (Myerstown, PA). The Hawks record now stands at 4-1.

The Spartans (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lebanon (Lebanon, PA). The Cedars come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Lebanon was nudged by Manheim Township (Lancaster, PA), 62-46, in a non-league contest.
