Greene County Tigers (Eutaw, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Marion Rams (Marion, AL), 40-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greene County upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Greensboro (Greensboro, AL) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Greensboro lost 49-37 in their recent non-league bout against Aliceville (Aliceville, AL)

Next up, the Rams play the Keith Bears (Orrville, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 61-60 non-league win over Southside (Selma, AL).
