Greene County Tigers (Greensboro, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA), 58-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Greene County upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Tigers host Warren County (Warrenton, GA) to play the Screaming Devils in a A D2 Region 8B bout on Saturday, December 17. The Screaming Devils go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Warren County won 59-50 in their recent league bout against Lincoln County (Lincolnton, GA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) in a A D2 Region 8B bout, on Saturday, December 17. Washington-Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Fightin' Irish go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 56-46 league win over Towns County (Hiawassee, GA).
