Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC), 72-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kinston upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 22. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Pamlico County won 49-46 in their recent non-league bout against Havelock (Havelock, NC)

Next up, the Tigers play the South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) in a 2A Conference 6 bout, on Wednesday, January 4. James Kenan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
