Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Maurepas Wolves (Maurepas, LA), 65-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Phoenix upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 2-6.

Next up, the Wolves play the False River Gators (New Roads, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Maurepas will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
