Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), 75-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monroe County upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Adair County (Columbia, KY) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 6-3.

Next up, the Hornets play the Meade County Green Waves (Brandenburg, KY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Metcalfe County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
