Illinois High School Basketball - Metea Valley can't hold off Neuqua Valley

The Neuqua Valley Wildcats basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Metea Valley Mustangs to 50 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lutheran for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Neuqua Valley will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 63-60 non-league loss to Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 8-3.

The Mustangs (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Geneva (Geneva, IL). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Geneva nudged Batavia (Batavia, IL), 47-32, in a league contest.
