The Port Isabel Tarpons basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots to 55 in the Tarpons non-league victory on Friday.

The Tarpons now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zapata for a 4A Region IV District 32 contest on Tuesday, December 20. Port Isabel will battle a Hawks team coming off a 56-33 non-league loss to Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 1-8.

The Patriots (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against La Joya (La Joya, TX). The Coyotes come into the non-league contest with a 12-6 record.
