Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH), 63-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakwood upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Lumberjacks host Bishop Fenwick (Franklin, OH) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Bishop Fenwick won 52-41 in their recent league bout against Archbishop McNicholas (Cincinnati, OH)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Bellbrook Golden Eagles (Bellbrook, OH) in a Southwestern Buckeye - East bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 62-56 non-league win over Maumee Valley Country Day (Toledo, OH).
