Nixon-Smiley will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Ro-Hawks enter the game with a 5-5 record after their 41-32 non-league loss to La Vernia (La Vernia, TX).

With the defeat, St. Joseph Academy moves to 13-5 on the year. The Bloodhounds host Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to face the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 13-9.
