The Richland Rangers basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Pelahatchie Chiefs to 36 in the Rangers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Rangers now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Florence for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 21. Richland will meet a Eagles team coming off a 65-57 non-league loss to Morton (Morton, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.
The Chiefs (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Raleigh (Raleigh, MS). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Raleigh was nudged by Puckett (Puckett, MS), 64-18, in a non-league contest.
